Period, reason, note
In your profile you enter when you can't make it and pick a reason: holiday, injured or other. A short note – say, “torn muscle fibre” – is optional and stays with you.
Already injured? The start date can be in the past. You can add several periods, and edit or delete each one later.

Automatic decline
Every upcoming event in the period that you haven't replied to yet is declined automatically. Replies you've already given stay as they are.

New events too
If the coach adds a training session during your holiday after you've entered it, that one's declined too. If an event is moved out of the period, the automatic decline is dropped.

Back early? Just accept individual events yourself. Your own reply always takes priority over the automatic decline.

Always in view
Your profile shows at a glance whether an absence is running right now or when the next one starts. While one is running, your profile picture carries an icon.

Coach and team are in the loop
When you enter an absence, the managers of your teams get exactly one push notification – with dates and reason, not one per declined event.
While the absence is running, an icon in the squad and in the event's replies shows why you're missing. On the event itself you see a note that you're marked as absent for that period.

Deleting withdraws declines
Change of plan? Delete the absence and the automatic declines are withdrawn – you're back to “no reply”. Shorten the period and the same applies to events outside it.

With the parent account, parents enter absences for their children – the child's events are declined automatically in just the same way.

FAQ on absences
Which events are declined during an absence?
All of your teams' upcoming, non-cancelled events that start within the period and that you haven't replied to yet. If you've already accepted or declined, your reply stands. Past events are never changed.
Can I still accept individual events while I'm absent?
Yes. Just accept the event yourself. Your own reply takes priority and won't be overwritten by the absence.
What happens if I delete or shorten an absence?
The automatic declines for events no longer in the period are withdrawn – you're back to “no reply” there. Declines you gave yourself stay.
Who can see my absence?
The managers of your teams get a push notification with the dates and reason when you enter it. While the absence is running, an icon in the squad and on the event shows the reason. Only you see your note.
Does the absence apply to all my teams?
Yes. Absences apply to you as a person, so they count in every team you're a member of.
Can parents enter absences for their children?
Yes. With the parent account, parents manage their children's absences – events in the period are declined automatically in just the same way.
How much does absence management cost?
