What does Startelf cost?
Nothing for players and parents. The Manager subscription costs from €4.99 a month or €49.99 a year – for the entire team, no matter how many players are in the squad, no extra charge per person. The first month is free, after that you can cancel anytime.
Can I try Startelf first?
Yes. You take out the Manager subscription in the app via the App Store or Google Play, and the first month is free. Cancel in your store’s subscription settings before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
Does every player need a subscription?
No. The manager takes out the subscription – it covers the whole team, no matter how many players are in the squad. Players and parents use Startelf for free.
WhatsApp is free – why Startelf?
In a chat group, replies get lost. Startelf collects RSVPs per event, shows how many are still missing, sends automatic reminders, keeps a waitlist and sets the line-up. Team chat is included too – and for players Startelf costs nothing.
Is Startelf suitable for youth teams?
Yes. With the parent account, parents create a profile for their child – no separate account needed for the child – and handle RSVPs. Later, the child can transfer the profile including its history to an account of their own.
Which devices does Startelf run on?
On iPhone and Android smartphones; you can also run match day from the Apple Watch. The app is available in seven languages, with light and dark design.
Can I be in more than one team?
Yes. You can join any number of teams or create your own and switch between them anytime.
How do new players join?
The manager shares an invite as a QR code or link – it's valid for 7 days. Scan it or open the link, tap “Join”, done. You can also search for public teams in the app and send a request.
What happens if too few sign up?
You set a minimum number of confirmations per event. Until it's reached, Startelf shows how many are still missing and players who haven't replied get automatic reminders. Once the minimum is reached, everyone gets a push: the event is on. If there aren't enough, you cancel the event with a reason – everyone who replied is notified.
