Terms of Service

This is an English translation provided for convenience. The German version at startelf.at/agb is legally binding.

These Terms of Service govern the use of the Startelf app (iOS and Android) as well as the website startelf.at. By registering or using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Description of Services

Startelf is an app for organizing (amateur) football teams. Among other things, it enables the creation and management of teams, events and line-ups, a team chat, player profiles as well as push notifications. The scope of features may be further developed and adapted.

3. Registration & Account

An account is required in order to use the service (sign-in via Apple, Google or email). You are obliged to provide truthful information, to keep your login credentials confidential and not to pass your account on to third parties. Use is permitted to persons aged 16 and over; younger users require the consent of their legal guardians.

4. Subscription, Prices & Payment

Basic use as a player is free of charge. Managing teams (Manager subscription) requires a paid subscription. One subscription covers all teams of the respective manager. The Manager subscription is available either as a monthly subscription (term of 1 month) or as an annual subscription (term of 1 year). Prices start at €4.99 per month or €49.99 per year and may vary depending on region and store. The price applicable in each case is shown to you before purchase in the app or in the respective app store.

New subscriptions may start with a free trial period. Whether a trial period is available and how long it lasts is shown to you before purchase. After the trial period ends, the subscription automatically converts into a paid subscription unless you cancel beforehand.

Purchase and payment processing take place exclusively via the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) under their terms. The subscription renews automatically for the respective term unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current term. Management and cancellation take place in the account settings of the respective store.

5. Right of Withdrawal

As this concerns digital content whose provision begins immediately with your express consent, the right of withdrawal may lapse prematurely. Refunds are governed by the policies of the respective app store (Apple or Google).

6. User Obligations & Content

You are yourself responsible for the content you post (messages, photos, files, profile information). In particular, unlawful, insulting, discriminatory content or content that infringes the rights of third parties is prohibited, as is misuse of the app, for example through spam or disruption of operations.

With respect to your content, you grant us the simple, non-exclusive right, limited to the operation of the app, to store such content within the scope of the respective team functions and to display it to authorized team members. The rights to your content remain with you.

7. Availability

We endeavour to keep operations as free of disruption as possible, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance work, technical faults or force majeure may lead to restrictions.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence as well as for damage arising from injury to life, body or health. In cases of slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Any further liability is excluded.

9. Cancellation & Account Deletion

You may request the deletion of your account at any time by email. We reserve the right to block or delete accounts in the event of serious or repeated breaches of these terms. A running subscription must be cancelled separately via the respective store.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may adapt these Terms of Service, for example in the course of further development of the app or a change in the legal situation. We will inform you of material changes in an appropriate manner.

11. Governing Law & Place of Jurisdiction

Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the user's country of residence remain unaffected.
